so più o meno cosa sono ma sinceramente dovrei trovare maggiori info perchè non sono proprio ferrato.

se non sbaglio si tratta di indici che trattano il Vortice Polare e le torsione del Jet forzato anche dal blocco di catene montuose, so che hanno valore descrittivo per AO e NAO però ripeto, informazioni da prendere con le pinze perchè ne avevo letto qualcosa tempo fa.

man mano i due indici vengono visti in calo ma solo dopo il 20 in zona negativa

High Pressure is situated over central europe
with very large scale Low Pressure Systems
accompanied by steep Pressure gradients
over the Atlantic British Isles
and Northern Scandinavia Russia

warm Air is advected from the Atlantic over ireland and UK
as well as the Western iberian peninsula
it is followed by a cold Front passage
from 15Z over ireland followed by unstable Airmass
there seems to be not much overlap
with the intense shear environment
at the cold Front itself which would
benefit tornado chances
the northern mediterranean sea near SE france
and corsica is the chosen hangout
for an upper cold pool featured prominently
in potential vorticity fields
it is generating unstable profiles
with a few hundred J/kg CAPE released mainly
on its south and east flanks where lift is maximized
surface Convergence lines concentrate around Ccorsica
and 0 kn - 2 km winds advect moisture
upslope over southeastern part of the island
causing some potential for enduring convection
with excessive rain sums
a waterspout or two is likely as well

Arctic Oscillation AO Analysis Forecasts

AO is currently positive and is predicted
to trend negative but still remain near neutral

negative AO trend is reflective of the model forecast
of initial low pressure geopotential heights
over the North Atlantic side of the Arctic transitioning
to more high pressure/geopotential heights  
though the models are not predicting
necessarily cold weather it should result
in damping of the large positive temperature anomalies for europe
western asia and the Eastern United States
however the models predict
low pressure geopotential heights
to continue on the North pacific side of the Arctic  
this will likely result in any cold weather
being focused in Western North America
for much of the remainder of December 2015
models are predicting an increase in energy
transfer from the Troposphere to the Stratosphere
starting the third week of December 2015

this will likely lead to perturbation of the Polar Vortex
during the latter half of December 2015  
the more the Vortex is perturbed
the higher our confidence in
a cold second half of winter

longer term high latitude boundary conditions
favor a negative bias to the AO
including extensive EurAsian Snow cover
and low Sea Ice extent in the Barents Kara Seas  
the key will be how strong the energy transfer
from the troposphere to the Stratosphere
is in late December 2015 and how much
the Polar Vortex is perturbed
if the energy transfer does
not significantly weaken the Polar Vortex
the AO will likely remain mostly positive
and mild temperatures
will dominate the mid latitude

ma penso che prima della fine del mese/inizio gnùennaio non ci saranno riscaldamenti importanti in stratosfera

noterete che ve n ho accennato spesso ( inglese ed italiano )

ho persino specificato ( possibile SSW ... possible SSW )
e per coloro che non lo sanno ... Xmas => Christmas => Natale
ma non solo questo ... ho pure scritto la data completa ... mah ...
in più la data è segnlata pure sul modello ...
eppure non mi sembra di scrivere una lingua tipo cinese russo etc.
scrivo in italiano e cerco di farne la meglio ( comprensibile )
poi vi è pure la lingua inglese ... oggi giorno molto importante ...
ma anche quì dove posso aggiungo la traduzione in modo da comprendere
